The BEST!
Grew up across the street from Land & Sea in Peabody. Only place to get a fantastic roast beef sandwich, using (of course) James River BBQ sauce. ONLY sauce my son's will have on their sandwiches. Fantastic. Been ordering twice a year, at least - always as Christmas gifts to the boys!

JR makes everything better
As long as I can remember a super-beef with sauce and cheese on an onion roll was always the go to at Bill N Bobs late night in this Area but never knew what the sauce was. The RoastBeef sammich war has reached new levels nowadays and all the places and what they are slinging is delicious and fantastic

No number 2 even sniffs James river bbq
Eat juniors for 40 years found out most great shops use James bbq and Smithfield price is at least $3-4 cheaper a bottle than anywhere else period. Also incredible with chopped chicken tenders add after cooking mmmm

Happiness is a North Shore Roast Beef
Moved away from the North Shore 30 years ago and any excuse to go to Kelly's, Bill and Bobs, Beachmont ROast Beef, Nicos in Salisbury, I took it. If I only found this sauce sooner I would have saved a couple of thousand miles driving. This will always be in my house from now on!

I agree I agree I agree I'm from Revere area shout out to all those areas because if you lived in any of those areas you know what we talkin about those roast beef sandwiches Rock and this sauce makes it happen and I really think Boston should drop the beans and become king of the roast beef cuz with this sauce by its side it's Unstoppable

Best Sauce Ever
I grew up in Danvers, MA and have loved roast beef sandwiches all my life (Supremes Roast Beef Danvers, Mike's Roast Beef Everett, Mimi's Roast Beef Malden, Bill and Bob's Roast Beef Woburn, Nick's Roast Beef Beverly, Land & Sea Peabody, Royal Roast Beef Stoneham & Kelley's Roast Beef Revere/Saugus/Danvers).................love all of them. What they all have in common is they use James River BBQ sauce!!! My son is now hooked on it and even though we live in NC ordering this sauce allows us to recreate the magic I grew up with!

I grew up in Southie and Liberty Bell Roast Beef was like my second home. I'm opening a Sandwich Shop in Clearwater FL and for sure will be adding Big Beefs on the menu with the best sauce ever made.

Brings back the memories
WOW.... so happy that I finally found the sauce used at my old time favorite Roast Beef place Nick's in Beverly Massachusetts. I'm living 1500 miles away and craving one of there sandwiches so I ordered a case of 6, went to our local market deli got the rarest roast beef cut extremely thin almost shaved, some Wonder Bread hamburger buns and was my mouth a watering when I opened and poured this delicious James River BBQ Sauce all over the roast beef sandwich. It was even better than I remembered, cant wait to make a second one...

My favorite sauce!
I LOVE this sauce. It was available at Arby's several years ago and labeled as 'Arby's Sauce'. When they went to their own blend it just wasn't the same. It has no kick. I even wrote Arby's asking them to bring back the James River Sauce! Now I get Arby's to go or bring my own sauce.

Oh so good!
I have used this sauce for over 15 years. My family loves it. It can be used in so many ways. I usually buy 12 bottles so my extended family can enjoy also.

The Best Sauce Ever
This is truly the best sauce ever. The ONLY one I will eat or buy for that matter. You can get it in certain places. Mike's Toast Beef in Billerica sells it.

Can't Beat It
This is the best BBQ Sauce on the market. Used to be able to get it in MA. Now in AZ and can't find it. So grateful I can order it directly from Smithfield! It's the little things in life that make us happy !!!!

Love this stuff
We use to buy this at Atkinson Pizza in Atkinson, NH. But now she sells it in cups and you really can't store that. My mom uses it in stews, meatloaf, on steaks and in sandwiches. You can't buy it at Rileys Roast Beef in No. Andover

I worked at Big Fred's Roast Beef all through high school (in the 70's) - and this was all we used. Can be found in a local market on rare occasions...

Ok, so I know about Kelly's and I also know of Harrison's Roast Beef in North Andover (Previously Riley's Roast Beef Lawrence, MA) and this sauce is the stuff for sure!!!!!

The Best!
A must have for any sandwich. Love the viscosity of this sauce compared to others. Finishes with a spicy zing. Huge fan!

Finally found it!
Grew up in N Shore Mass, and been really missing a good roast beef 3-way. Thanks to the word getting out on the net what sauce most of the shops use, I can "go home" without leaving my kitchen. Will be keeping this well stocked in my cupboard.

Our favorite!
I too live in NC but grew up in MA where the best place for Roast Beef sandwiches is Supreme's in Danvers. (I sooo miss REAL Roast beef sandwiches with sauce and cheese) They use this sauce and it is definitely the best! I have a friend buy it for me and send it. My family fights over it!

The Boss
When I moved to North Carolina 16 years ago from Boston I did not know there were no Roast Beef shops outside of the Boston Area. I was craving my Kelly's Beef and Bill and Bob's famous roast beef sandwiches. When I went back home to visit I bought a bottle of the sauce and realized this is made about 1 hour from where I live in NC. I called and ordered a case to have in stock and make me a beef twice a week. I have since turned my southern buddies onto this sandwich with the James River sauce and now its time to buy another case. This is the best sauce ever and it helps me get some of that old home cooking while living here in in NC.

THIS is the BEST sauce... anyone from the MA No Shore will know this from Nick's Roast Beef in No Beverly, MA... it's unique flavor tells me I'm home... gonna buy some on my next trip to MA and bring it to FL... will make my MA friends jealous I'm sure!

Beef BBQ in the can, like in the 60's
Please !! Do you make the beef BBQ in the can? It was wonderful. I tried your sauces but it's not the same recipe used in the beef BBQ you once made. Help !
