Directions:

Preheat oven to 450 F. Sift the flour into a large mixing bowl. Use a pastry cutter to work the diced butter or Crisco into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse meal. Add the buttermilk and stir with a fork just to combine. Sift a touch of flour over the dough in the bowl, and spoon a ball of dough into your lightly floured hand. Toss the dough lightly from hand to hand, gently shaping into a ball. Place biscuits on greased baking pan. Bake in 450 F oven about 15 minutes or until golden brown. Serve hot with butter & honey.
